Again Technologies Launches WireCycle LLC
Leading plastics recycler continues its mission to monetize plastic waste
ARLINGTON, Texas – Again Technologies LLC, a leading plastics recycler and carbon solutions provider, announced the launch of WireCycle LLC, its first Biomimicry recycling facility. this is a major milestone in Again’s mission to monetize plastic waste streams and create circular and carbon reduction solutions to benefit the environment and economy.
WireCycle focuses on recycling wire and cable residuals discarded after metals are recovered. The facility’s innovative process recovers polyethylene (PE) and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), the most dominant polymers found in these residuals. With less than 1% of post-consumer PVC currently recycled in North America, WireCycle is poised to address this critical waste stream.
‘Through WireCycle, this move reaffirms our commitment to driving innovation and sustainability in plastics recycling,’ said Again Technologies founder and CEO Claudine Osipow. ‘By rethinking waste streams and investing in cutting-edge solutions, we are transforming how our industry managers, reuses and monetizes the increasing amount of plastic waste that would otherwise end up in landfills.’
WireCycle’s operation is guided by Again’s scalable Biomimicry Model – the practice that draws on nature’s strategies to create simple and repeatable solutions to human challenges. WireCycle applies this principle by focusing on pattered collection and feedstock consistency, ensuring the production of macropolymers pure enough to re-enter mechanical and advanced recycling, as well as finished products.
The modular design of WireCycle’s facility allows for an impactful cadence to tackle critical waste streams locally while maintaining the required high standards of recycling and material recovery.
